Tuesday September 15, 2009 - Am Auto Sales, 73 Alness Street in North York Ontario Canada - You should be ashamed for wasting my time and who knows how many other people.

I am in the market for a used car. I have narrowed my selection down to two vehicles; a BMW 530 or a Mercedes Benz E320. I did an online search and found an ideal match for the BMW I am searching for at AM Auto Sales.

I picked up the phone and called to confirm the availability and equipment of this vehicle. I asked "can I come in and take it for a test drive?". The answer over the phone was "Sure, come and see us."

I rearranged my afternoon to go and see this vehicle. I have driven a Mercedes E320 in the past and was curious as to the difference in drive to the BMW.

I arrived at AM Auto Sales and unlike a car dealership, it was a dingy industrial unit in the middle of nowhere. I went inside and viewed the vehicle. It appeared to be in decent shape.

The salesperson was honest in reporting that it had been in an accident but knew nothing about the repair or how serious or minor it had been. That explains the low price!

I asked to take it for a test drive. His reply was "No, this is a special car, only for serious offers." I was in shock. You can't expect somebody to buy a pair of shoes without trying them on, so how could this asshole expect me to make an offer on a vehicle I have never driven? What kind of a fucking asshole was this? The arrogance was overwhelming!

I didn't push the issue. I said fine and left. Now I wonder if the speedometer was spun? Was it a salvage vehicle? Who cares!

The part that pisses me off is that

A) I am a serious buyer who plans to make a purchase within the next two weeks

B) I wasted an hour of my life going to see this car.

Fuck You AM Auto Sales

I would urge anybody considering paying a visit to AM Auto Sales to try a Real Dealership first! Trust me.
